May 29 is 529 Day, and the PA 529 Guaranteed Savings Plan (GSP) is celebrating all month long with multiple awards for new PA 529 GSP account owners.
One new PA 529 GSP account owner will be awarded $5,290 for their child’s new account. This is enough to cover a year of tuition at a Pennsylvania Community College! There will also be ten additional regional winners across the state who will each receive awards of $2,529.1
Taking part in this promotion is simple! Just open a new PA 529 GSP account with at least $10 between May 1 and May 31, 2023. To be eligible for awards, beneficiaries may not already be the beneficiary of a PA 529 GSP account.1

The winning account owners, Zach and Brittany Hebert of Allegheny County, received a deposit of $5,290 in the new PA 529 Guaranteed Savings Plan (GSP) account they opened for their son.

Treasurer Stacy Garrity Visits Northampton Community College to Promote PA 529 Program
Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity and area legislators today visited Northampton Community College (NCC) to promote Treasury’s PA 529 College and Career Savings Program. They were joined by College President Dr. David Ruth and Vice President of Student Affairs & Enrollment Dr. Sedgwick Harris among other college faculty and administrators for a tour of the campus. The tour included the Lineworker Training facility in Hartzell Technology Hall. Treasurer Garrity also spoke with two students who utilize their PA 529 accounts to help fund their education at NCC.

Numerous administrators and faculty helped guide a tour of the campus which included visits to the Student Services Center, Nursing Suite, Makerspace, Amazon Training Center, Berrier Hall, the Community Services Center and the Library.
